Man missing in Sackville North

Police from the Hawkesbury Local Area Command hold grave concerns for an elderly man missing from his Sackville North home yesterday Monday, July 14.

Alexander Stetz, aged 72, was last seen at his Sackville Ferry Road home about 4.30pm yesterday wearing a brown button shirt with grey track pants and red lace-up shoes.

He is described as having a slim to medium build with grey receding hair. He suffers from dementia, and is unsteady on his feet.

Hawkesbury police, the NSW Police Dog Squad, together with local State Emergency Service volunteers, and the NSW Ambulance helicopter, have conducted a search of the surrounding area however failed to locate him.

The search was suspended overnight and will resume early today.
