New West Pennant Hills Lions president

Mohan Nanayakkar has been elected president of West Pennant Hills Lions Club for 2014-15. This will be the club’s 50th year.

Mr Nanayakkar migrated to Australia in 2005 from Sri Lanka where he held executive positions within the Lions Club of Wattala. He joined the West Pennant Hills Club in 2006.

As part of his presidency, Mr Nanayakkar has outlined several major plans during the club’s golden anniversary including assistance to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead’s oncology research unit, Inala school as well as leadership development in local high schools.

The club also holds a health camp every year in Sri Lanka  which Mr Nanayakkar and his wife play a major role in co-ordinating.

Mr Nanayakkar called for new members to be a part of Lions in his speech.
