Lost dog tracked to Carlingford

About a month ago, a truck driver was driving down Raby Road, Kearns when his dog fell off the back of the truck.

She ran into the golf course on Raby Road and the owner informed staff and tried to find her but, sadly, he was unable to find her.

Last night, myself, Angelika Bantin and six others attended the golf course after receiving a Facebook post informing people of the fact that a very skinny dog was roaming the golf course.

After a while we had no sightings and were about to give up but she decided to bark, we quickly moved the vehicles to light the area up and five people went searching for where the bark came from. She was located but myself and another lady noticed she had run onto the road.

We all moved in an effort to catch her. It took over an hour but we finally caught her.

Angelika wrapped her in her dressing gown, bracing the cold so the dog could be warm and safe.

To our surprise she was micro-chipped but the details are not up to date so we are unable to contact the owner.

I'm hoping you could put the story out in an effort to locate her owner, she is a Bull Mastiff registered in Carlingford.

She is currently receiving vet treatment and will go to a rescue in the hopes of finding her owners.
