Riverstone MP Kevin Conolly
The seat of Riverstone has been left without a Liberal for next year’s state election, but there will be a candidate by voting day.
Sitting MP Kevin Conolly was disendorsed during pre-selection on June 16, when two local branches within the new boundaries voted 14-3.
Jess Diaz, father of failed federal Greenway candidate Jaymes Diaz, nominated against Mr Conolly in February as another Liberal candidate.
However, the Blacktown councillor decided to withdraw from preselection, leaving Mr Conolly the only candidate.
The preselection nomination process may be reopened.
