$900 raised at Dural drought picnic

Local bush band the Inland Navigators raised more than $900 to help farmers in drought-affected areas through their annual shed party.

An Akubra was passed around for donations at the Dural picnic and three-hour concert with 60 friends.

The funds will go to Buy a Bale, which provides fodder for stock in drought-stricken areas, and  Volunteers for Isolated Student Education (VISE), which provides tutoring and home help for children learning via distance education.
