Man charged with reckless wounding in Mount Druitt

A m,an was struck with a metal pole following a dispute in Mount Druitt on Monday, June 16 .

Police were called to a home on Palmyra Avenue following reports of an argument between two men in the front yard at about 4.30pm.

Police said they found a 29-year-old man with a cut to his head caused by being struck with a metal pole. 

He was taken to Nepean Hospital where he is expected to undergo surgery.

Police arrested a 47-year-old man in the front yard of the home.

He was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where he was charged with reckless wounding, and served with a personal Violence Order.

He was given conditional bail, and will appear in Mount Druitt Local Court on June 30.
