Bidwill home units damaged in fire

Inquiries are continuing to determine the cause of a fire at a Bidwill home unit block this morning (Thursday, June 5).

Emergency services were called to the complex on Luxford Road, near the intersection of Carlisle Avenue at about 2.20am after reports of a fire.

When emergency services arrived  they found a fire in one of the units which had spread to a unit above.

The occupants of both units were able flee the blaze.

Fire and  Rescue NSW firefighters extinguished the fire,  the cause of which  has yet to be determined.

Once the building has been deemed safe to enter, specialist forensic personnel will examine both units.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Police have asked anyone with information about the fire to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
