GALLERY: Thrill for young Norwest Bulls

It was a dream come true for the Norwest Bulls under 9s on Saturday night when they played at Allianz Stadium before the Waratahs game.

The team of rugby union players played the curtain-raiser game for the Super 15 clash between the NSW Waratahs and the Wellington Hurricanes.

The Norwest Bulls under 9s ran out on to the Waratahs' home ground in bitterly cold conditions after playing their normal fixture game that morning in the Parramatta District Junior Rugby Union competition.

Coach Dennis Nothdurft said: "The boys were really excited to be given this opportunity by NSW Rugby, because they realise how special it is to play on the same field as their Super 15 heroes. They're a great team of kids, with an amazing love of rugby."

■ The Norwest Bulls’ home ground is Alwyn Lindfield Reserve, Glenwood.

Registrations are still open for players aged 4-9 years, as well as 11, 14 and 16 years. Please call Dennis on 0414 271 199 for more information.
