Disabled woman, 72, indecently assaulted at Blacktown station

Police have appealed for information after a disabled woman was allegedly indecently assaulted at Blacktown railway station yesterday (Wednesday, April 30).

The woman, 72, was waiting on the concourse of Blacktown Railway station after using the disabled facilities at around 5.45pm.

She  told police she was approached by an unknown man who spun her wheelchair around and indecently assaulted her.

The woman wheeled herself back to the main barriers of the station and reported the incident. .

The man was last seen walking towards the northern side of the station.

He was described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, aged 30, medium build and with short black hair.

The man was last seen wearing a grey jumper, dark jeans and dark shoes.

This afternoon (May 1), Police Transport Command officers attended an address in Dharruk and arrested a  man, 43.

He was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.
