Break-ins surge in The Hills over weekend

The Hills crime manager Detective Inspector Gary Bailey is urging residents to call the police if they notice any suspicious activity after a spike in house robberies at the weekend.

Police received reports of six break and enters in Kellyville (all on Saturday night), four in Baulkham Hills and two in Castle Hill (on Friday and Saturday nights).

‘‘Garages seem to have been targeted and cars in these garages,’’ Detective Inspector Bailey said.

One item stolen was a black 2013  Range Rover, with registration CNN64V, which went missing from First Farm Drive, Castle Hill, between 11.30pm Friday and 7am Saturday.
