Water way to go for Cherrybrook engineer

Hornsby MP Matt Kean has congratulated Cherrybrook resident Jacob Craig who has secured a position in Sydney Water's 2014 Graduate Program.

Jacob is one of only 12 graduates from over 1500 applicants who qualified for the program this year.

The 22-year-old, who has a bachelor of civil engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, said: "I wanted to explore what the water field could offer a civil engineer with its importance in society and Sydney Water had the best reputation in this area."

Mr Craig is engaged in stormwater investigations and systems design.

Mr Kean said the award winning program employs graduates in a range of fields including engineering, science, commerce and communications.

Applications for Sydney Water’s 2015 Graduate Program close on April 16.
