FOR Oakhill College student Sheridan Ryan, a future in event management is all mapped out.

The year 12 student was recently a runner-up in the Get Real Awards as part of the Kenvale College event management program.

Each year Kenvale College offers 15 year 11 students a week of event management work experience after an application and selection process.

Only four students go on to win a partial scholarship to study the course of their choice.

As part of her experience, Sheridan had the opportunity to shadow the event co-ordinator and help manage the large crowds.

Meeting new people from such different backgrounds was one of the highlights.

"It was such an amazing experience working at AllPhones Arena, I worked six concerts where I got to meet Rihanna, One Direction and Alan Jackson," Sheridan said.
