Your new company
Modern, forward-thinking, research-led university, with an array of well-designed programs and degrees carefully structured to meet the demands of future industry. The Division comprises a Senior Executive Assistant, Senior Project Officer, Senior Administrative Officer and Commercial Officer. Due to a secondment, the team has a vacancy for a Senior Project Officer.

Your new role

  • Provide high-level executive support to the Vice-President and the wider Division in relation to governance, communication, administration, and research activities
  • Lead, implement and manage a range of divisional and university-wide projects
  • Manage commercial and engagement projects and initiatives
  • Measure and monitor project activities in line with University Strategy
  • Research, analyse data and produce complex reports, papers and briefing documents
  • Assist with the preparation of summaries and presentations for senior staff
  • Coordinate, research and collect information relating to industry trends
  • Provide required updates to various stakeholders around work/project status
  • Promote high level collaboration with senior colleagues across key operational areas
  • Manage a team to deliver assigned projects arising across all areas of the University
  • Manage SharePoint as a platform for information sharing and content management

What you'll need to succeed

  • Postgraduate qualification and relevant experience in a large organisation
  • Experience in providing strategic support and advice
  • Demonstrated project management skills within a complex environment
  • Experience in writing management reports, briefing papers and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present detailed information to a wide range of audiences
  • Skills in developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work across a range of issues in a high-volume work area
  • High degree of initiative, integrity and confidentiality is essential

This is a 3 year contract role but they will consider candidates seeking shorter term contracts of 6-12 months also.
