Production Operator

• Full time permanent role with training
• Early morning shift from 6am-230pm, finishing early on Fridays

About Our Client

Come and join this Australian manufacturer who produces well-known and loved garden care products which are used all over the country

You will be based at the newly refurbished manufacturing facility near Marsden Park.

This site produces a range of garden care products, although potting mix is their biggest seller with over 12 million bags produced annually.

Job Description

Being a nursery style environment, you will enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor work, it is a little dirty sometimes with trucks on-site daily dropping off & picking up loads of soil and mixes along with packaged products to deliver to customers.

With 3 production lines and a new one coming soon, there is always plenty to do such as:

• Assisting with other production lines and general warehouse duties
• Completing paperwork and checking stock levels
• Monitoring machinery to ensure correct operation
• Loading machinery parts and products into machines
• Operating a range of machinery including production equipment, forklifts, and loaders
• Completing any computer and general paperwork

The Successful Applicant

If you have any experience in a similar hands-on nursery, turf, chemical, production, or warehouse role that will be highly regarded, although not essential.

You will need to enjoy working in a hands-on role, along with:

• Ability and willingness to learn quickly
• Experience or ability to operate machinery
• Excellent communication skills
• A team player who has a good work ethic is positive and safety focused
• Reliable, takes on responsibility, and can work autonomously
• Can follow instructions and understands the importance of meeting deadlines within a production environment

Additional licenses such as a forklift, loader, bobcat, or truck licenses would be highly regarded, however, they are not essential and are also something the team is happy to help you obtain
