GUIRONG Wu first saw The Godfather back in China in 1980. He has seen the movie dozens of times and has chosen it as his top ‘classic’ film recommendation for September.
He said though it’s a story about criminals, you can see the people have good sides, too - and he likes that about it.
“It’s about family. You could say they’re bad, but complicated. They have good way, too,” he told the Gazette.
Mr Wu is the owner of Civic Video in Windsor - the last movie hire shop left in the Hawkesbury.
“Marlon Brando very good, and Al Pacino - they all come from here. The story so interesting, and the culture and background in Italy,” he said.
“It a very beautiful movie, music and everything. All the actors very balanced, the camera and everything, perfect.”
The top five movies at Civic Windsor this month are Deadpool 2, Avengers: Infinity War, Life of the Party, I Feel Pretty, and Super Troopers 2.
Brand new flicks in store include Ocean's 8, Scorched Earth, Blood Money, The Party, In Darkness, Off The Menu, CarGo, and The Bachelors.
“I really like Darkest Hour and American Made,” said Mr Wu - a lover of crime dramas - adding that these are his favourite new releases for the month.
Civic Video Windsor is located at the carpark end of the Old Post Office Arcade, off Windsor Mall. The store is open seven days-a-week.
