THE Sydney Writers’ Festival is coming to Hawkesbury Central Library! Book now for a presentation from award-winning author Felicity Castagna who will be speaking about her life, her work and her latest novel, No More Boats.
No More Boats is set in 2001, during the Tampa affair when the TV and radio scream-out that the country is being flooded and overrun by migrants. Antonio, once a migrant himself, has been forced to retire, his wife has left him for the woman next door, and amid his growing paranoia, a ghost commands him to write ‘No More Boats’ in giant letters across his front yard. This is the story of a man and a nation unravelling together.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing on the night .
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 2, from 6pm until 7.30pm, and will cost $5 (including refreshments).
Book online at Eventbrite.com.au (search for Hawkesbury Central Library Service) of call 4560 4460.
The Library is based at 300 George Street, Windsor.
