Kurrajong-Comleroy Historical Society will lead an exploration tracing the remnants of the old Pansy Line on Saturday, April 14.
The Pansy Line was the name given to the old Richmond to Kurrajong railway line, which ran from 1926 to 1952.
The line extended from the end of the Richmond line, cutting through the corner of Richmond Park and running along the side of March Street.
With the railway gone for so long, it is getting increasingly difficult to find many remains, but the society’s experienced local guides will be able to show interested folk exactly where it ran.
Much of the tracks are on private property, not normally accessible to the public.
The tour will start at 10am from Richmond Park.
Most of it is via coach. but there will be some walking involved.
Lunch, courtesy of the Kurrajong RFS is included in the cost of $35 for adults, $30 for seniors and $25 for children.
Bookings are essential and can be made by visiting kurrajonghistory.org.au
