A Kurrajong East Public School student is planning to shave off her long locks for charity.
Six-year-old Lily Rochester has decided to participate in this year’s Leukaemia Foundation World's Greatest Shave event, to help support sick kids.
Money raised goes towards giving families facing blood cancer the emotional and practical support they need, as well as vital research that will help more people survive blood cancers like lymphoma, leukaemia and myeloma.
However, Lily is going one step further and will also be donating her hair after shaving her head so that wigs can be made from it.
Her target goal is to raise $5,000, and she will shave her head at 11am on Friday, March 16 at Kurrajong East Public School.
The school is having a crazy hair day, raffle and sausage sizzle to raise funds.
