Pitt Town residents have been urged to secure their cars and property after a number of break-ins were reported to Hawkesbury police.
Local police stated multiple offences were reported in the area on Sunday, February 11, and issued a warning on social media for residents to ensure their vehicles and garages were secured.
“Windsor Police have received numerous reports of vehicles being broken into and garages entered in the Pitt Town area late in the evening on Sunday night, [February 11],” a police statement said.
“The offences are believed to have occurred sometime after 11pm on Sunday evening in Buckridge Street, Wellesley Street, Johnston Street, Chatham Street and Bathurst Street, Pitt Town.”
Anyone with information in relation to the offences should contact Windsor police on 4587 4099 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
“Further, Windsor Police are requesting anyone residing in the above mentioned locations who may have CCTV recordings to contact police,” the statement said.
“As a number of vehicles were found to be unsecured at the time of the offences, police would like to remind residents of the importance of removing valuables and securing vehicles when left unattended.”
