BLIGH Park, Freemans Reach and Riverstone all picked up points in Hawkesbury District Cricket Association’s first grade competition at the weekend.
Bligh Park defeated Pitt Town in the round 13 match, while Freemans Reach won outright, but lost the first innings to Riverstone.
Riverstone set 108 in their first innings and bowled Freemans Reach out for 74. Riverstone went back in, and made 5-94, before declaring, hoping to bowl Freemans Reach out.
However, in the second innings, Freemans Reach - led by an unbeaten Adam Worsley, who made 58 – were up to task and chased down the entire total, securing an outright victory.
Meanwhile, a solid team performance by Bligh Park was enough to topple Pitt Town.
Bligh park had a number of contributors with the bat, while Michael van der Reydon took four wickets with the ball to help his team get over the top of Pitt Town.
Riverstone is on top of the ladder.
