IF you don’t have any air conditioning at home or it’s struggling to keep the heat at bay, pop over to Hawkesbury Library - it’ll be open extended hours this weekend due to the expected heat wave.
Hawkesbury Central Library will be open extended hours on Saturday, January 20, from 9am-7pm, and Sunday, January 21 from 12pm-7pm, to provide residents and visitors with a cool sanctuary.
The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that temperatures are expected to be above 40C this Saturday.
With the expected extreme heat, locals can stay cool in the library while enjoying their regular services which include free public computers and wifi, as well as a range of magazines, DVDs and music, as well as books.
The library is located in the Deerubbin Centre at 300 George Street, Windsor, and you don't have to be a member to go in and enjoy the air-conditioned environment.
