THERE will be a total fire ban in place in the Hawkesbury on January 19, with temperatures tipped to soar.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted temperatures above 40 degrees on Friday, with some light winds.
The NSW Rural Fire Service has given a ‘SEVERE’ warning for January 19, up from today’s ‘VERY HIGH’ rating.
During a total fire ban, no fire may be lit in the open, including incinerators which burn solid fuel.

The NSW RFS issues total fire ban advice the day before, and it is likely, given the hot temperatures expected over the next couple of days, that there will be more bans.
