SPRING was a time where sport featured heavily in the Hawkesbury region.
The Hawkesbury Race Club held two big events at its grounds during the spring racing carnival, both of which drew some big crowds.
The first and one of the more popular events of the year, was the Pink Finss Charity Race Day, which saw Hawkesbury women frock up in stunning fashions and get out to support a good cause.
The second was Ladies Day, another popular event, which was certainly not short of some well dressed ladies, and a couple of dapper gents as well.
October saw the World Polo Championship held in the Richmond Lowlands, which saw eight nations, including Australia, compete for the Maharajas Cup.
Hawkesbury Ag College also won another premiership, while Richmond Golf Club hosted their own charity day.
