A Richmond teenager will front court after he led police on a pursuit through Berkshire Park on Sunday.
At about 1.50am on Sunday Hawkesbury Highway Patrol officers detected a Toyota FJ Cruiser on Richmond Road at Berkshire Park travelling well in excess of the speed limit.
Police activated all warning lights and siren but the driver failed to stop when signaled to do so. A short pursuit commenced before the vehicle eventually stopped on St Marys Road and the 19 year old male driver from Richmond was arrested.
As a result of Police observations of the driver at the scene, he was taken to Hawkesbury Hospital for a blood and urine sample to be obtained.
The driver was then taken to Windsor Police Station and charged with the following offences, 'Police Pursuit - Not Stop', 'Not Stop Vehicle When Directed' and 'Exceed Speed'.
The driver was also issued with a licence suspension notice. The male will be required to attend Windsor Local Court in February 2018.
