Parramatta win three from three in Twenty20 Cup

Parramatta have remained undefeated in the Twenty20 Cup with wins over Bankstown and the Central Coast at Old Kings Oval on Sunday.

It leaves Parramatta on top of the Sydney Thunder Conference on equal points with Hawkesbury after three of their four games.

Ben Abbott was the star of the day with two fifty’s in quick time.

To start the day, Parramatta restricted Bankstown to 7-137 in 20 overs before smashing 2-141 in 13.1 overs. 

Abbott’s thumped 57 from 23 balls and was ably supported by Nick Bertus (31 off 19 balls) and Trent Crittenden (37 off 28 balls).

In game two, Central Coast scored 7-136 but put up a fight with the ball. Parramatta passed the score seven down in the 19th over. Abbott thumped 54 off 35 balls.

On Saturday, Parramatta moved into third in first grade with a 167-run win over Bankstown with NSW pace bowler Sean Abbott (3-62) and Owen Simonsen (3-43) the pick of the bowlers.
