While you are enjoying shopping for all your Christmas needs at Richmond Marketplace, spare a thought for those families for whom a shopping spree is simply a dream.
You can show the true meaning of Christmas while you’re in the centre by donating a gift to a less fortunate family.
San Miguel Family Centre is a supported accommodation service for families experiencing homelessness and houses 15 families at any one time.
Sam Miguel Family Centre has placed their Wishing Tree outside Helloworld.
To donate a gift, simply take a tag from the Christmas tree, attach the tag to your gift and drop the gift into Helloworld (preferably unwrapped).
Staff from San Miguel will collect the gifts and distribute them to families in time for Christmas.
“Hawkesbury residents are well known for their generous nature and many people have already demonstrated their generosity, by calling into the centre and donating a gift for this worthy cause,” Senior Marketing Manager Tracey Thomas said.
“Christmas can be a difficult time for many people and the San Miguel Family Centre does wonderful work in the local community during this time to support families experiencing homelessness, including supporting families moving back into the community.”
