Woolworths might be the Fresh Food People but they are also surprisingly fresh on romance as well here in Katherine.
Chris Gill got down on his knee at the Woolies store on Wednesday night and asked his sweetheart, Katy Jay, for her hand in marriage.
And, to Chris’ relief, she said “yes”.
Chris is the well known assistant store manager at Woolworths Plus Petrol.
Katy works at Woolworths, often on the service counter where Chris popped the question.
The lovebirds first met when they attended an Australian Air Force Cadet activity in 2009.
Chris decided to propose at Woolworths as Katy was at work and he wanted to surprise her.
Judging from the pictures, he certainly succeeded at that.
The Katherine Times knows the pair well and wishes them every happiness together.
