GARAGE SALE: In the Wesley Uniting Church grounds at 32 Showground Road, Castle Hill, on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4, 8am-1pm. Stalls will include books, records, CDs, DVDs, Christmas, clothing, toys, white elephant and more.  Details: Brian, 9871 3497.

NIGHT WALK: The Hills Shire Council hosts walks and workshops with an emphasis on living sustainably. On Friday, November 3 from 7pm-9pm you can take a night walk and experience the sights and sounds of the local bush after dark. Bookings: thehillsenvironment.eventbrite.com.au.

ANNUAL EXHIBITION: Presented by Epping Cottage Crafts at Eastwood Scout Hall, corner Marsden and Lawson Streets, Eastwood, on Thursday, November 2 (noon-6pm), Friday, November 3 (9am-6pm) and Saturday, November 4 (9am-4pm). Hand painted silk, ceramics, woodwork, studio glass, soft toys, babies and childrens wear, creative needlework, Christmas decorations and more.

RETIREES MEET: The Sydney Hills Branch of the Association of Independent Retirees meets on Friday, November 10 from 1.45am at Beecroft Presbyterian Church Hall, Welham Street Beecroft. Guest speaker will be Noeline Kyle from Ancestry. The organisation welcomes recently retired citizens and baby boomers. Details: Lauris Rennie, 9634 1186.
