Western Sydney residents can look forward to a taste of international flavours at Stockland Elara tonight (October 20) when another mouth-watering Aussie NightMarkets kicks off at the popular Marsden Park community.
The colourful pop up food market, which includes free entry and live entertainment, starts at 5pm on Elara Boulevard and features a host of food stalls with delicious cuisines from around the world.
Richard Rhydderch, Stockland general manager, NSW Residential Development, encouraged Elara residents and visitors from around the region to attend the multicultural event.
“Our new Elara community promotes inclusiveness and this internationally themed food market is the perfect way to celebrate and embrace a variety of global cuisines,” Mr Rhydderch said.
“Guests attending this event can look forward to having fun and laughter while they take in the live music and enjoy the delicious food available for purchase. The event will also provide an opportunity for people to make new friends.”
Elara hosted its first Aussie NightMarkets in June, with the inaugural event attracting around 7000 people at launch – making it the largest in the history of the moving food market.
Mr Rhydderch said that the success of the first markets led to the event becoming a regular attraction, with themarkets now held on the third Friday of every month in spring and summer.
While the vendors can vary at each market, each event includes a dedicated dessert section for sweet tooths.
Meanwhile, the international cuisine featured at past markets at Elara has included bao, schnitzel, pupusa, woodfired pizza, sliders, pasta, rolls, grilled burgers, Filipino skewers, lamb gravy rolls, dumplings, paella, Indian curries, hotdogs, gozleme, Chinese, sushi, Vietnamese and special juicing stalls.
More than 1000 people are now living at the family-friendly Elara community, with hundreds more homes under construction.
Elara features a 47-home Display Village, proving the perfect inspiration for anyone seeking a brand new home boasting the latest trends in interior design. The community’s first school, St Luke’s Catholic College, opened in January this year and Elara has a social enterprise café called Livvi’s Place which is a popular meeting place for residents and visitors.
