Police are investigating a fatal crash on Wilberforce Road Friday lunchtime.
About 12.45pm emergency services were called to Wilberforce Road following a collision between a Mitsubishi Pajero and a truck.
The male driver of the Pajero, believed to be in his 30s, died at the scene. His female passenger, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to Westmead Hospital, suffering shock. The male truck driver was also taken to Westmead for shock and mandatory blood and urine testing.
Hawkesbury Police attended and have established a crime scene.
Wilberforce Road is blocked from its intersection with Freemans Reacjh Road through to Rose Street in Wilberforce. Police manning the roadblock at Wilberforce said the block was likely to be in place for some time due to the nature of the accident.
While most traffic wanting to get to Wilberforce is diverting via Freemans Reach Road, Gorricks Lane then Kurmond Road, drivers can take a shortcut down Argyle Reach Road at the Breakaway however it’s recommended only for those with 4WDs.
