A trip to Plumpton Marketplace tomorrow will help put a smile on the faces of sick kids.
Community event Big Change for Small Change kicks off at the centre at 9am, sparking a full day of live entertainment and good will.
The centre will charge a gold coin entry fee until 7pm, with all proceeds raised to go to upgrading the hospital’s children’s garden.
Several retailers will also get in on the act, collecting donations and offering special deals to drum up support.
More than 1500 children under 10 are admitted to hospitals in Australia every day.
Centre manager centre manager Katrina Wolff she hoped the event would brighten the stays of local kids at Mount Druitt Hospital.
“Supporting local families with young children is central to Plumpton Marketplace. We see this as an important way to give back and make a difference in our community,” Ms Wolff said.
“The response we’ve had from our retailers, local community organisations and media partners has been overwhelming.
“Everyone has come together to create a full program of entertainment, offers and fun for the community to enjoy.
“We invite everyone to join us and raise much-needed funds for local children’s health services on this day.”
