ONE of the biggest race days on the Hawkesbury Race Club calendar will happen tomorrow, as we host the Pink Finss Raceday.
Hawkesbury Race Club and Pink Finss have developed a great working relationship in just a few short years.
The Pink Finss raceday is always one of our most popular events, to the extent that we will cater for 400 guests and sponsors that are integral to their fundraising efforts.
Whilst the Pink Finss day is increasing in popularity, Hawkesbury has taken its association with the volunteer organisation a huge step further over the last one-and-a-half years.
The club last year conducted the inaugural Pink Finss Charity Ball under cover in the betting ring at the racecourse, and it was again a huge success this year in autumn.
Pink Finss has been able to raise $160,000 from the two black tie functions.
The funds are absolutely necessary for Pink Finss to continue the outstanding work they do.
A week after the Pink Finss Raceday meeting, Independent Liquor Group will sponsor the September 28 fixture at the Hawkesbury Race Club.
Both course manager Jeff Haynes and I are extremely pleased with the manner in which the course proper has come through its winter assignments.
The track has held up really well given the dry spell, and gives us a good base to continue on with our spring and summer racing commitments.
Greg Rudolph is the chief executive officer at the Hawkesbury Race Club.
