Vigilant resident catches alleged illegal dumpers with dash cam

Illegal dumpers were busted by a vigilant civilian who recorded the incident on his dash cam on Saturday.

The Kings Park man was driving along Peter Brock Drive, Eastern Creek about 11.05am, when he noticed a plume of dust ahead.

When he got closer, it’s alleged he saw a tip truck with its hoist up driving away from a pile of building waste dumped on the side of the road.

The man called police to pass on his recording.

Blacktown police and the Environmental Protection Authority have reviewed the footage.

The company has been identified and investigations continue. 


Saturday night at the movies in Blacktown turned violent when two men clashed during and after the film.

A Waterloo man, 28, was inside the cinema about 6.40pm when another man told him to be quiet.

The pair exchanged some heated words before returning their attention to the film.

At the end of the movie, the second man grabbed the Waterloo man by the throat and demanded he apologise.

He allegedly shook the man back and forth while witnesses looked on.

Bystanders intervened and the second man left the scene.

He is described as being Caucasian, mid-30s with dark hair, a ginger beard and was wearing a black shirt with a skull on the front.

Police will review CCTV footage of the incident.

A woman returned home to find two teenage girls trying to break into her house on Blue Hills Crescent, Blacktown on Wednesday night.

The teens, 18 and 17, were arrested after crashing their stolen car into the woman’s vehicle while trying to flee the scene about midnight on September 6.

The resident had confronted the culprits before locking herself inside her car to wait for police to arrive.

The teens were charged with several offences including aggravated break and enter. They will face court in October and November respectively.
