An unsupervised L-plater was caught drug driving in South Windsor on Monday.
At about 1.20pm on Monday, August 21, Windsor Police were patrolling the vicinity of Woods Road, South Windsor when they observed a black Jeep proceed through a stop sign at the intersection with Mileham Street.
The vehicle was stopped by Police and the 18 year old driver from Narellan Vale was subjected to a breath test which proved negative.
The driver produced a learner's permit, with no accompanying driver and no 'L' plates on the vehicle.
A subsequent roadside drug test returned a positive indication. The male was arrested for the purpose of a secondary test to be conducted at Windsor Police Station.
A second positive result was returned at the Police Station.
As a result, the male was issued with a licence suspension notice and a number of traffic infringement notices relating to travelling through a stop sign, learner driver unaccompanied and no 'L' plates displayed.
Police will await the result of a final analysis before a further charge is likely to be preferred for the offence of 'Drive vehicle, illicit drug present in blood'
