HAWKESBURY City’s first grade team had an untimely loss to Granville Rage in Football NSW’s NPL 3 competition last week.
The Rage won 2-0 on Thursday night, and in the process nabbed sixth place on the ladder, moving themselves one place ahead of City.
City are out of the finals by one point at this stage, with two games remaining in the season.
With two games remaining, the club has a chance to collect six points.
A good start would be to defeat the South District Raiders, currently in fifth place, this weekend, and move up to 38 points, level with the Raiders.
The following week the club will play the Stanmore Hawks, who in ninth place and with eight wins, will not be an easy team to knock over either.
In round 25, City will play the Southern District Raiders at Bensons Lane on Saturday night.
