Thousands of votes are being counted for the St Marys Mount Druitt Local Business Awards finalists.

Thousands of votes are being counted for the Mount Druitt St Marys Local Business Awards finalists.

Precedent Productions are reviewing the nominations to find the most popular nominees in each business category and notify finalists.

Anonymous judges will then visit each finalist to assess their services from a customer’s point of view. Judging criteria include: range of products, value for money, business and staff appearance, service quality and customer relations.

Major sponsors are NOVA Employment and support sponsors, Blacktown Council, Westfield Mt Druitt, Plumpton Market Place, St Marys Village, Station Plaza, Vintage FM and BREED Business Centre. The winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 17 at St Marys Rugby League Club.

Precedent Productions managing director and awards founder Steve Loe said a record-breaking number of participants visited the awards’ website.

“We received thousands of nominations, which just goes to show, once again, how close knit the Mount Druitt St Marys community’s ties are with local business,” he said.

“The Mount Druitt St Marys community is parochial in the very best sense of the word – they proudly support each other, which is why it’s such a great place to live.”

“It is only with their unwavering assistance that the program is able to recognise and award the high achievers of local business,” Mr Loe said. “Not only is the event an opportunity for finalists and winners to have their achievements recognised in front of an audience of hundreds of their peers, it is also an opportunity to relax and celebrate with their colleagues as well as network with other business people.”
