Drugs, weapons seized from Blacktown home

An arsenal of weapons were seized from a home in Blacktown on Thursday night.

Police were called to the home on Flushcombe Road, Blacktown about 6pm, after reports of a domestic dispute.

When a man opened the door, officers noticed a gun sitting inside the home.

The man, 18, was arrested and police began a search of the home.

It’s alleged they found weapons included a loaded sawn-off shotgun with extra ammunition, flick knives, throwing knives, a samurai sword, a machete, bowie knives, knuckles dusters and nun chucks.

Police allegedly also found cannabis at the home.

The man was charged with possess shorten firearm, possess ammunition, possess unregistered firearm, possess prohibited drug, and possess prohibited article or weapons.

He was also charged for firing guns in a manner likely to injure persons or property.

The man was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Friday.
