Hills Crime Wrap: Man charged with drink driving

A Kellyville man will face court after he charged with high-range drink driving over the weekend. 

A concerned member of the public called police after allegedly seeing the man, 25, swerving in and out of lanes on Windsor Road in Baulkham Hills. 

Police have been told the Toyota Corolla was seen nearly colliding with other vehicles at about 1.30am on Sunday, August 6.

A short time later, officers stopped the vehicle on Golden Grove Avenue in Kellyville. A roadside breath test returned a positive result, and further breath analysis revealed a reading of 0.177. 

The man was charged and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on September 27.

Driver charged after collision

A Kellyville man, 22, has been charged with mid-range drink driving after he collided with a tree in Bella Vista. 

It is alleged the man was driving on Norwest Boulevard when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree at about 1.40am on Saturday, August 5. 

The driver wasn’t injured but vehicle was damaged and had to be towed.

Police were called and a roadside breath test revealed a position result. The man was taken to Castle Hill police station for further breath analysis, which returned a reading of 0.098. 

He was charged and will appear in Parramatta Local Court on September 27.

Man arrested after fight

A Kellyville man, 28, has been charged with affray after a fight in Castle Hill last month. 

It is believed two men became involved in the physical altercation on Old Castle Road, near a bus stop outside Castle Towns Shopping Centre at about 3.15pm on July 26.

After investigating the incident, detectives arrested the man at Castle Hill police station on Friday, August 4. 

He is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday. August 16.

Fraudster caught in Rouse Hill

A woman will face court after she was arrested while attempting to commit fraud at a store in Rouse Hill.

Police said the Rooty Hill woman, 27, tried to get a refund for goods allegedly purchased at the store at about 6.50pm on Thursday, August 3. 

Staff questioned the claim, which was revealed to be fraudulent and police were called.

The woman was charged with attempted to fraudulently gain a financial advantage and is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on September 20.
