Preparations for the Ronald McDonald House Westmead Charity Golf Classic are on course.
Now in its 19th year, it will be held on August 8 at Lynwood Country Club in Pitt Town, which is part of the Castle Hill RSL Group.
More than 120 golfers will spend a day at the premier course to raise funds to provide a home away from home for seriously ill children and their families. The event is almost a sell out with only a few spots for teams to register. Previously held at Castle Hill Country Club, it’s the first time at Lynwood.
“Castle Hill RSL were previously great supporters of Ronald McDonald House but this year, decided to up the ante,” Ronald McDonald House executive officer Belinda Woolford said.
“Castle Hill RSL Group’s support will help make this year’s event more successful than ever, but we are proud our partnership covers much more than just one day. Having an ongoing relationship gives us the opportunity to work together to maintain a warm, nurturing home away from home, where families can stay together when their child is seriously ill.”

Lynwood Country Club is proud to host the golf day.
“The course is designed by the legendary course architect Graham Papworth and is set on 230 acres,” Castle Hill RSL group president Warren Glenny said. “We are committed to assisting Ronald McDonald House making every day a bit brighter for seriously ill children and their families.”
