League: Windsor Wolves defeat Minchinbury, look ahead to undefeated Brothers

THE Windsor Wolves A Grade team comprehensively defeated Minchinbury at the weekend, but coach Chris Boyd continues to be dismayed by his team’s penchant of dropping the ball.

The Wolves won 44-22 but Boyd said the team dropped the ball at least a dozen times in the round 12 match at Windsor.

Boyd said Minchinbury was down on troops, and the Wolves would get a real test of their mettle this weekend, when the club takes on Brothers.

“If we hold the ball we can beat anybody, but we just have to hold the ball,” he said.

“I know we have it in us to knock one of these top sides over but we just need to get the basics right and hold the ball.”

At the weekend, Pat Hollis scored three tries for the Wolves, while his brother Sam returned from injury.

Boyd said the pair had good games, also praising winger Sam McKinley and front rower James Palmer.
