HAWKESBURY City was soundly defeated by Fraser Park FC at the weekend, bringing to an end a six game streak without a loss.
City went down to Fraser Park 6-0 in round 17 of Football NSW’s NPL 3 competition at Fraser Park.
It was the first loss for City since the club went down 4-1 to the Rydalmere Lions on May 3 in round 10.
The Lions overtook Fraser Park on top of the NPL 3 ladder after taking out the club’s 15th win of the season at the weekend.
Despite the fact Fraser Park is undefeated so far, the club has 14 wins and two draws and is now in second place, two points behind Rydalmere.
Fraser Park and Rydalmere are the teams to beat this year in the competition.
City is in fifth place on the ladder after 17 of 26 rounds, with a 7-4-5 record and still must play a catch up match against Dulwich Hill.
In round 18 action, City will take on St George City at Bensons Lane at 5.30pm on Saturday.
