For kids there’s the NAIDOC Aboriginal Language Treasure Hunt on July 8, at 10am. Kids will look at country through Aboriginal eyes as they explore with Aboriginal educators to find plants used for food, medicine and shelter. $20 per child. More: programs.info@bgcp.nsw.gov.au.
On Sunday, July 9, 10am-3pm at Richmond Park there will be a pop-up gallery and library as well as free stuff, giant games, art activities and badge-making to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements. It’s free.
