THE Windsor Wolves emerged 32-24 winners over Colyton at the weekend as the A Grade team heads into a bye round.
In round 10 of the Penrith Junior Rugby League season, the Wolves had what coach Chris Boyd described as a ‘patchy’ game, but the team was nonetheless able to get the result needed.
“Our backs had their best game of the year. Kieran Croft scored three tries in the first half. B.J. Hudd was good. Dylan Holmes was very effective on the right edge,” he said.
“Our forwards were dominant for 80 minutes, Jadon Newsome and Pat Hollis were very good. Pat was a man of the match contender.”
Boyd said ball control, an issue that had plagued his team all season, continued to be a problem.
He added that he was pleased to see a number of new backline moves, which the club practiced at training, paid off.
In round 12, the Wolves will host Minchinbury at 2.30pm on Sunday, July 16.
