A 66-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after falling from a ladder in the Hawkesbury region on Sunday.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to St Albans shortly before 10.00am, landing in a field in the village near the property.
The man was undertaking maintenance work at the a garage when he fell from a ladder to the concrete.
Due to the home’s difficult access, a Police 4WD was used to take CareFlight’s medical crew to the scene.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic treated the man for pelvic and head injuries.
NSW Ambulance vehicle arrived shortly after and the emergency crews transferred the man to the helicopter.
He was flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
