LONDONDERRY and Poppets Blue had big wins over their opponents in Hawkesbury City Netball Association’s A1 Grade competition at the weekend.
Londonderry took on Poppets Pink, and the second-placed club flexed its muscle as the girls built up a hefty score of 56-29.
Meanwhile, the other Poppets team also won. Colo was on the wrong side of the scoreboard in this match, with Poppets posting a 45-26 scoreline on Saturday afternoon.
First-placed Macquarie had the bye in round 11.
After the 11th round, Londonderry is in second place with six wins – Macquarie has seven.
Poppets Blue is battling away in third place, and has five wins so far this season.
Colo is in fourth place and Poppets Pink is last, with both teams registering two wins apiece so far this year.
In round 12, Poppets Blue will look to upset Macquarie, while Londonderry will try to best Colo, as Poppets Pink has the bye.
Meanwhile in representative netball, Hawkesbury City had a one point win over Campbelltown District on June 20.
After 10 rounds of competition, Hawkesbury City had was in fourth place on the Metro League division five ladder, with a 6-4 record.
City took on Sutherland Shire last night, after The Gazette’s deadline.
