On June 29, Richmond School of Arts will play host to the maiden local exhibition of Gazette photographer Geoff Jones.
Titled, We Are Hawkesbury: 100 Faces, it will feature 100 black and white portraits of residents from ages one through to 100.
As well as being a stunning body of work, the exhibition aims to serve as a celebration of that which makes the Hawkesbury such a prosperous region … it’s people.
Each of the featured subjects come from different walks of life and indeed, each have their own story to tell.
The work has taken the best part of 18 months to complete for Mr Jones, who while not living in the region, says, has a strong fondness for the folk who call it home.
Complimenting the main works will be a selection of poster sized standout shots. A video showcasing the portraits and more than 250 other shots of the Hawkesbury by Mr Jones will also play on loop during the exhibition.
The exhibition will be open to the public from June 29 to July 2, from 10am to 3pm each day.
Entry is via a gold coin donation and proceeds will go to the Hawkesbury Living Cancer Trust.
Platinum sponsor of the event is Richmond Marketplace. Gold sponsors are Hawkesbury Race Club and Ray White Windsor/North Richmond.
