Tina and Luke Haines win Rooty Hill RSL ‘Be CEO for a Day’ competition

You could be forgiven for thinking a celebrity was flying into Rooty Hill on Monday – but it was just one lucky local couple.

Tina and Luke Haines landed the opportunity of a lifetime this week thanks to Rooty Hill RSL.

Ms Haines was announced as the winner of the club’s ‘Be CEO for a Day’ competition, which saw her treated like an a-lister.

She brought her husband along for a helicopter ride to the club’s new helipad, with its real chief executive Richard Errington.

But that wasn’t all; the couple also pocketed $10,000 cash, accommodation and dinner in Bondi and a $1000 voucher for Westfield shopping centres.

They also got to sit in on a meeting of the club’s board to give a punter’s perspective on operations at the RSL.

Mr Errington said it was exciting to offer Rooty Hill members a chance to get a glimpse behind the scenes of the club.
