A Sydney man has pleaded guilty to committing an Islamic State-inspired plot that ended in the death of police accountant Curtis Cheng.
Raban Alou is alleged to have handed a .38 Smith & Wesson handgun to schoolboy Farhad Jabar two hours before the teenager used it outside Parramatta police headquarters on October 2, 2015
Prosecutors say Alou gave the gun to Jabar, 15, in a concealed section of Parramatta Mosque and it was used to kill Mr Cheng about 15 minutes later.
In the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday, Alou pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in a terrorist act.
Court documents say between August 6 and October 2, 2015, Alou engaged in a terrorist attack by aiding, abeting, counseling or procuring the commission of a terrorist act by Farhad Jabar Kahlil Mohammad.
Two further charges - doing an act in preparation for terrorist act and supplying a pistol to an unauthorised person - were withdrawn and dismissed.
Alou was remanded in custody and will be arraigned in the NSW Supreme Court in July.
Two further co-accused, Mustafa Dirani, 23, and Milad Atai, 21, were committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court.
