Sydney Metropolitan senior constable charged with stealing from Seven Hills hardware store

A police officer has been charged after he allegedly stole from a hardware store in Seven Hills.

The senior constable was arrested on Friday, May 5 and charged with shoplifting.

The officer, 47, is attached to a specialist command in the Sydney Metropolitan Region. A NSW Police spokeswoman said she could not comment regarding whether he had been stood down or was on leave during the investigation.

He is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on June 29.
