Two years on from the disappearance of 24-year-old Hawkesbury builder Brendan Vollmost from a home in South Windsor, his mother Tammy Slade is desperate to find her sons body.
Four men have been arrested and charged with Brendan’s disappearance and will appear before the Supreme Court next week.
Police believe Brendan was murdered, with lines of inquiry leading officers to believe his body may be in the Dorrigo area.
“We just take things day by day … that’s all we can do,” Ms Slade said.
“We just get up and push on, we have to.”
Ms Slade said she was desperate to find Brendan so he ‘could be laid to rest’.
She said although it had been two years since he first disappeared, she hoped that by speaking to the Gazette it might encourage anyone who may know of his whereabouts to come forward.
“It’s hard to go about your day when you know he is still out there, still missing.
“It’s hard to move on, what do you do when we still don’t have his body.”
Brendan was last seen entering the yard of his home on Cox Street in South Windsor at 10.30pm on Tuesday, March 31 2015.
Police believe Mr Vollmost was involved in a collision with a white Hyundai i30 just before his disappearance.
He fled to his home after the accident and was followed into his backyard shed by a group of men allegedly called the 'Blood Brothers'.
He was chased, allegedly assaulted and taken by four men from the property he shared with his girlfriend.
It is believed Mr Vollmost was carried, put into a white station wagon and was driven off.
Mr Vollmost has not been seen since and police allege he was murdered.
Also known as Volley, Mr Vollmost was born and raised in the Hawkesbury.
He spent his primary school years at Hobartville Public School and went on to attend Richmond High School.
